FAQ

Q: What are your qualifications?
A: We are accredited through the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters. We are also fully bonded and insured.

Q: What is Meet ‘n Greet?
A: A meet and greet is the initial meeting between CPS, you and your pet. Most importantly, it allows you to meet your Chicago Pet Sitter, and to see if our service is right for you. It also allows the sitter to interact with your pet in your presence, which is important when deciding which service is right for you.

Q: Will Chicago Pet Sitters train or discipline my pet?
A: No. Chicago Pet Sitters will administer positive reinforcement for pets in accordance with your training guidelines, but our primary goal is to ensure that your pet is safe and happy. If there is a disciplinary problem, your sitter will notify you.

Q: What do I need to do if I decide to hire Chicago Pet Sitters?
A: At the meet and greet, you will decide with your sitter what services you need. You will then need to provide CPS two (2) sets of house keys. The keys will be kept secure in our office until the time of your visit.

Q: How do I know when the sitter is at my home, and if my pet is safe?
A: Your Chicago Pet Sitter will leave a detailed note on his or her visit, along with the time of the visit. If a daily call would make you feel more secure, just ask. We aim to provide you with a personalized pet-sitting service, curtailed to your every need!

Q: What areas do you serve?
A: Currently, we service Roscoe Village, East Lakeview, Lincoln Park, Old Town and Bucktown/Wicker Park. We plan on expanding into other areas soon!

Pet Tip

Allow your new pet to familiarize itself with its new home. Temporarily confine existing pets to a room to give your new pet a chance to feel more comfortable with its surroundings.
