The Chicagoist Intern roams free through the waters of Lake Michigan at the Montrose Dog Beach, recently selected as one of the 10 best in the nation. Last week, Fido-Friendly Magazine released their list of the 10 best dog beaches in the nation and the Montrose Dog beach was included on the list, the only location not in a coastal state. Over the weekend, we took the Chicagoist Intern and a few of his friends over to the beach to celebrate and our own Laura M. Browning snapped a few photos that we’ve posted above along with an assortment of reader photos. But remember: to enjoy the beach, your dog must be registered with the city.
