Common Questions and Answers

What are your qualifications?

Having been in business for almost two decades, we know a thing or two! We have an A+ rating with Better Business Bureau; we have an extensive and robust staff training program; we are accredited through the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters; and we are fully bonded and insured.

What is a virtual Meet ‘n Greet?

Our virtual meet ‘n greet is the initial meeting between Chicago Pet Sitters, you and your pet, all online. By meeting ahead of time, you have the opportunity to understand the services we provide, how scheduling and billing work, and ensure we are the right match for your needs.

Why do you cost more than other services?

Chicago Pet Sitters takes great pride in providing excellent pay and a positive work environment. Our employees (not independent contractors) are the foundation of our business, and we work extremely hard to ensure they can make a decent living working here. We also provide ongoing professional development and regular bonuses. While this is not typical in the pet care industry, we know that a great work environment feeds happy and healthy employees, and that translates the absolute best caregivers for your pet.

Will Chicago Pet Sitters train or discipline my pet?

No. Chicago Pet Sitters will administer positive reinforcement for pets in accordance with your training guidelines, but our primary goal is to ensure that your pet is safe and happy. If there is a behavioral issue, we will notify you and work with you to the best of our ability to resolve it.

How do I know when the sitter is at my home, and if my pet is safe?

You will receive a notification in the app when we enter your home, and your sitter will send you a detailed report with all the important information, along with a photo and time stamp. Our management team is always online when visits are scheduled to offer support and provide accountability. Should anything urgent arise, we will reach out immediately.
