Dreaming of warmer days: A look into a summer filled with fun and dogs!

Those summer days we are all dreaming about are just around the corner, so to help us get through the last few weeks of cold weather let’s take a look at some of the warm-weather activities we can share with our dogs!

Even if you don’t have a dog, this place is great to come and spend a sunny day watching happy pups play in the sand. If you are the proud owner of a furry child who is looking to make some new friends, this is a great beach with lots of room to play! You might even find Fido there, a food truck created just for dogs nearby to get a treat for your pup to enjoy while lounging on the beach. Begyle Brewing Company
Begyle Brewing Company is a great place to take your dog to meet up with friends and their pups. They have a spacious taproom filled with games and activities to keep you entertained while enjoying a cold brew. While they do not serve food you are welcomed to bring takeout from nearby restaurants or even order delivery! Food trucks also make a special appearance on the weekends. They have fun events every week, like their Bingo Night on Sunday, March 25th and a Farmers Talent show on April 7th, as well as offering a weekly Yoga class on Saturdays. This brewery really has all the best things: beer, yoga, games and of course, DOGS!

Parson’s Chicken and Fish
Parsons Chicken and Fish in Logan Square is a must if you are a fan of fried chicken or fish. They have great selections for vegetarians as well and some delicious alcoholic slushies with a rotating mystery flavor. They are currently in the middle of a big remodel which will only make this place a better summertime hangout. The bigger patio means there will be plenty of room for you and your dog to meet with friends for a brunch outing or a dinner.

Gallery Cafe
Gallery cafe on North Ave in Wicker Park offers a nice selection of coffees, teas and a few smoothies, as well as some breakfast and lunch options. In the warmer months, they open up their outdoor patio, making this a great spot to stop and get a cold drink while out walking your dog around the neighborhood. Gallery Cafe is focused on artists, making it a great place to look around if you are ever in the market for new art.

Red June in Bucktown is a delightful little cafe that is tucked away on a quiet corner of Chicago. They have an adorable walk-up window where you can order a coffee, tea or sandwich while out for a stroll with your pup. In the warmer months, they open up their patio so you can sit, stay awhile and enjoy some time out of the apartment with your dog.

Is your dog is a foodie? If so, they will love 312 Chicago!They have a menu just for your dog at their Waggin’ Weekends every Saturday and Sunday from 11am-2pm during the summer. This special doggie menu features a few choices like chicken and pasta, Salmon and white rice, as well as a peanut butter biscuit, and a “beefsicle’ so they can end their meal with a delicious treat. 312 Chicago is located in The Loop where they just celebrated their 20th anniversary!
