I’ve been using Chicago Pet Sitters for more than three years to visit my two cats, and have had a consistently great experience, despite cycling through several different sitters. I always have peace of mind when I leave town by getting timely, detailed updates with many great photos (some of which remain among my favorite pictures of my cats).
Chicago Pet Sitters gets all the details right. Their scheduling system is intuitive and they are very accommodating. When my locks had to be changed due to an eviction in the building, it was a simple process to pass along the new key. They are always responsive to email and take feedback seriously.
Over the recent holidays, I was worried because I unexpectedly had several heavy packages delivered early while I was away. Without me asking, the sitter Tiffany brought them inside or moved them to be out of the way, going far beyond the agreed-upon service of bringing in the mail. This particular experience is representative of the excellent service I always enjoy from Chicago Pet Sitters.

We’ve had Cathy regularly for cat visits during weekends and vacations away over the last year. We’re always nervous to leave our two geriatric cats for a few days, and Cathy’s visits are the first time we’ve ever come home to calm and happy cats. She seems to take care in getting to know their personalities, keeps their space tidy, and sends thoughtful daily updates. We’re always excited to see that our visit requests have been assigned to Cathy, and so appreciate her efforts each time we’re away!

David is an excellent walker for our dog visits during the week! He’s very receptive, timely, and caring for our baby girl. CPS does a great job on hiring their employees seeing as all the dog walkers we’ve had in the past carry the same characteristics.

Chicago Pet Sitters is great! We used their service for 1.5 years every day and loved it. We had a few different walkers over time but each of them was great and I appreciated how open to feedback the owner/walkers are if you have any. They take great care of your pet, follow instructions you put in the app, and it’s very easy to schedule/cancel last minute. Each day you get a write up of the walk and fun pictures.
I’ve used Wag before and have had terrible experiences with them leaving our pet alone multiple times and not having a customer support line to call. Chicago Pet Sitters is an excellent alternative with local presence and someone to actually talk to if there’s ever an emergency or last min change to your plans.

I have been using CPS for 8 years or so now. They are so reliable and trustworthy–highly recommend them. My lab Willie’s regular walker is Rachel. He tells me he really likes her. Rachel takes special care, including when Willie was attacked by another dog–she immediately contacted me, took care of him and stayed at my house until I got there. They go the extra mile.
